Territorial Stewardship

In 2015 the Territorial Stewardship Department (TSD) was developed as in-house, technical expertise to the Citxw Nlaka’pamux Assembly (CNA) for the purposes of the Participation Agreement with Teck Highland Valley Copper (HVC) and the regulatory aspects of the Economic and Community Development Agreement (ECDA) with the Province of British Columbia.

The TSD acts as a technical liaison between Teck HVC and CNA Participating Bands, ensuring transparent communication with regards to long-term development and operations of the mine. The department has been delegated the responsibility for the following aspects of the current and future operations of the mine, under the Participation Agreement:
